By its soothing and lipid-replenishing action, argan oil is very much appreciated by dry skin. It is also the ally of mature skin, thanks to its revitalising, healing and antioxidant action. Moreover, it protects the hair from dryness and prolongs the shine of the colours. Argan oil has thus become an essential ingredient in cosmetics.

Argan oil, firming, anti-wrinkle…

Its fatty acids have an interesting action on the suppleness and elasticity of the skin, which can delay the appearance of wrinkles and reinforce skin firmness. They also stimulate cell renewal.

The vitamin E it contains protects against free radical damage and preserves the quality of the fatty acids.

The presence of sterols improves micro-circulation, promoting exchanges and giving a healthy glow. The presence of sterols improves the micro-circulation, favouring exchanges and giving a healthy glow. The rich texture of this oil is comfortable on mature, often denatured skin.

It can be used pure or mixed with an anti-ageing cream to reinforce its nutritive power, preferably in the evening, because of the light shiny film it leaves on the surface. It can also be enriched with essential oils to reinforce these benefits.

But also healing and repairing !

Argan oil contains more than 80% unsaturated fatty acids, including 45% oleic acid (omega-9), found notably in sebum.

On the skin, it reinforces the hydrolipidic film and thus maintains good skin hydration. This fatty acid also improves healing: very effective on chapping and burns, it relieves the tightness of dry skin.

With its 36% linoleic acid (omega 6), the oil reinforces the skin’s barrier function and preserves exchanges between cells.

Hence the interest of applying it on dry and mature skin, but also on those without any particular problem to prevent ageing.

Finally, it is beneficial for coloured or weakened hair.

Applied as a hair mask on the lengths and ends or as a daily care, it forms a protective film against aggressions.

Good to know :

Argan oil is also useful in the fight against certain skin problems: in the Moroccan pharmacopoeia, it is recommended against acne, chapping and burns. Indeed, it helps healing and also helps, for example, to remove traces of chicken pox. In massage, argan oil softens the skin, moisturizes it and protects it from drying out.
