They can be in the form of a cream, gel, liquid lotion or serum. They are used after shampooing on clean, damp or dry hair. Some conditioners require rinsing with water, others are leave-in.

It is a preservative of synthetic origin, and yet one of the rare preservatives authorised by Ecocert. It is therefore widely used in organic cosmetics.
NB: we use a very small proportion of this preservative, however it is always advisable to do an allergy test in the hollow of the arm, waiting at least 24 hours (ideally 48 hours) to observe a possible reaction.
