Orange Blossom Hydrolate

Botanical name : Citrus aurantium, Producing organ : the flower 100% pure, natural, preservative-free hydrolat from controlled organic farming. PH 4. Floral, pleasant, delicate and comforting scent.

Orange blossom hydrolate is for internal and external use. It is an excellent skin tonic. Soothing, balancing and regenerating, it beautifies all skin types and takes care of sensitive skin. Very soft, it makes the happiness of children and babies who find peace and quiet enveloped in its comforting scent. A natural anti-stress for everyone that soothes and facilitates sleep!

In face and body lotion Rebalancing for all skin types, especially combination and oily skin. Not suitable for very dry skin (take into account its astringent action) unless mixed with a fine lavender or geranium hydrolate. Witch Hazel Hydrolat

Botanical name : Hamamelis virginiana Witch hazel hydrolate will bring comfort to skin prone to eczema or psoriasis. It is also useful in the case of pink haircuts and sensitive skin prone to redness. A very characteristic herbal note, an average pH of 4, this hydrolate is major in cosmetic applications.

In lotion or compresses for face and body It favours micro-circulation and will be appreciated, always locally, in case of varicosities and haemorrhoids. With this in mind, one should think of compresses (50/50 with water) and sitz baths. To improve her circulatory comfort, pregnant women can use it without restriction. Still in compresses, it should be considered in cases of water retention and joint discomfort.

For sensitive skin, prone to redness, itching, rashes, swelling and flaking, witch hazel hydrolate will bring comfort. Combinations are possible with Roman chamomile and cornflower hydrolates. In the same vein, it calms insect bites. The well-tempered aroma of this hydrosol, green but not excessively soothing, slightly woody and its soothing action make it the master choice in the preparation of your creams, lotions, natural deodorants. Tonic and powerful anti-oxidant, it is an anti-ageing hydrosol that it will be interesting to use in association with rockrose hydrosol. Although comfortable for all skin types, its slightly astringent side will be appreciated by combination to oily skin.

In case of a sore throat, use it pure in gargle - possible combination with thyme hydrolate with thujanol. In case of hoarseness and to regain your voice: always gargle with cypress hydrolate.

Rose hydrolate

Latin name: Rosa damascena hydrolat distilled with spring water, pure, natural, preservative-free, from controlled organic farming. Average pH 4.2.

Organic Damask Rose hydrolate is the tonic par excellence that beautifies all skin types and enchants us with its rose garden scent. As a face lotion, it is suitable for all skin types, especially mature, reactive and acne-prone skin. Astringent, anti-wrinkle, stimulating tired skin, purifying, invigorating: what versatility! Its scent opens the heart and harmonises emotions.

  • Face lotion Astringent, anti-wrinkle, stimulant for dull skin. It’s the hydrolate par excellence that gives a glow to dull skin. The anti-wrinkle effect is potentiated in association with cistus hydrolate.

  • For internal use It’s a hormone balancer of choice, with an absolutely delicious taste, which doesn’t spoil anything! It’s also a remarkable antidote to depressive states, sadness, anger, bitterness, anxiety and all the feelings generally associated with emotional restraint and lack of self-confidence.

Sage Hydrolate

Here is a hydrosol that has more than one trick up its sleeve. It regulates perspiration, adds shine to dark or red hair and acts against gum inflammation. It really deserves our attention! Salvia officinalis . PH medium 4

  • For external use : Face lotion or mouthwash. Skin tonic, as an anti-wrinkle and anti-ageing treatment. Hair lotion to stop hair loss. On dark or red hair: adds shine. In mouthwashes in case of gum sensitivity (alone or in combination with immortal HA).

  • For internal use It contributes to detoxification and weight loss alone or in combination with HA from carrot, rosemary to verbena, juniper. Its use is not recommended for pregnant women during the first 3 months of pregnancy. Also not recommended for people suffering from hypertension. Energy drink (physical and mental) Chronic fatigue, immune weakness… Perspiration regulator (due to an imbalance of the ANS).

  • For internal use as well as for external use, a remarkable circulatory stimulant!

Rosemary Hydrolate

Botanical name: Rosmarinus officinalis verbenoniferum. Deep aromatic scent of rosemary. PH average 4.6. It is one of the most useful hydrolats, vector of harmony, lightness and balance.

  • Hair and skin lotion Purifying and cleansing, rosemary hydrolate regenerates oily skin with a tendency to acne and frees the skin of its impurities. It is active on the middle layers of the skin and deeply treats irritations, pimples, pustules and roughness. In warm compresses, it brings impurities to the surface and cleanses clogged pores. It smoothes and clarifies the complexion (all skin types can benefit). In association with geranium, carrot, lemon balm and roman camomile EO as part of a real skin regeneration protocol.

In warm compresses under the earlobe to facilitate the drainage of mucus (otitis).

Ideal for hair care, it prevents hair loss and balances the scalp in case of dandruff.

  • For internal use, added to mineral water, it cleans and detoxifies the liver. Its energising fragrance promotes self-confidence. By adding it to your mineral water, its draining effect does not fail to have repercussions on stressed skin (acne, etc.). Excellent if breathing is congested, and even more so in association with the inula hydrolate. Specific to older men: Rosemary HA contributes to the proper functioning of the prostate.

Mint Hydrolate

Latin name: Mentha piperita. Medium PH 6, characteristic odour without the intensity of the essential oil. Organic peppermint hydrolate is a real infusion of freshness for the skin and body. Used internally, it provides a natural solution to digestive disorders and soothes colic, burns, reflux and sensitive intestines. In cosmetics, it purifies the skin, tightens pores, refreshes hot areas and reveals a radiant complexion.

  • External use At the service of tired skin. Healing. Soothes skin damaged by the sun. Similar to essential oil, it refreshes both literally and figuratively. One of the most pleasant ways to use it is to connect a misting pump to the bottle: direct the mist towards the face damaged by the sun, towards the legs weighed down by the heat, towards the armpits. When making your own cosmetics, the soothing and refreshing action of this hydrosol will be adapted to hair lotions, to aftershave fluids…

  • For internal use, it soothes colic, burning, reflux, sensitive intestines. Depurative and anti-fermentary. In association with Roman chamomile hydrolate for parasitosis. A mixture in equal parts of water and hydrolate can be consumed in small, occasional doses against motion sickness. In association with clary sage hydrolate against hot flushes (equal parts internally). Can be used as an energy drink, appreciated by students and people overworked in their work: it stimulates the mind while soothing the nervous system. Warning: peppermint hydrolate seems to potentiate the action of alcohol and energising plants.

Lavender hydrolate

Lavandula angustifolia. PH between 4.5 (high mountain) and 6 Sweet floral scent, especially for lavender at altitude.

Organic fine lavender hydrolate provides its purifying and astringent effect to all skin types, especially impure, oily, mixed, irritated or fragile skin. Used as a cleanser, lotion or make-up remover, it soothes, purifies and promotes healing. With its sweet and herbaceous lavender scent, it is a very good balancing and relaxing agent that promotes inspiration and well-being.

  • External use As a face lotion: soothing, promotes healing, purifying, refreshing. Suitable specifically for fragile skin. Classically used as a cleanser and make-up remover. In mist when the air is very dry. In mist before and after shaving, depilation. To prevent ingrown hairs. Versatile when travelling, to soothe irritated, sun-burned skin. Naturally suitable for children, to soothe cuts and scrapes. Calms cranky children and puts an end to crying fits. Two to three tablespoons in baby’s bath. For diaper rash, alone or in combination with Roman chamomile hydrolate.

  • For internal use is not ideal: as for essential oil.

Geranium hydrolate

Pelargonium asperum, cv Bourbon With its rose fragrance with fruity hints, it is a pleasant tonic lotion for the face.

  • External use Purifying, stimulating, even healing! It promotes the restructuring of the skin. Balancing and adaptogenic, it is suitable for all skin types. You can use it undiluted in daily compresses on the rough skin of knees and elbows as well as on the calluses of hands and feet. As a mist against environmental aggressions. Soothing and refreshing: on sunburn, insect bites… ” When it’s hot and red”: redness, couperose, rosaceous acne. Possible association with HA of cistus.

  • For internal use By adding it to drinking water: a drink with a pleasant taste, favourable to sugar gourmets, favouring pancreatic balance (interesting repercussions on the skin). And still as adaptogenic: hormone rebalancing, unpleasant manifestations of the menopause.

In cooking: delicious in desserts, fruit.
